Office of Transformation & Inclusion

The role of Guilford's Office of Transformation and Inclusion is to provide campus-wide leadership for diversifying the student body, faculty, staff and curriculum and programming to create an inclusive campus environment for all. The OTI Office is committed to building and shaping a diverse and inclusive environment. The Office is home to centers, programs and initiatives that educate, engage and empower the Guilford College community through advancing inclusive excellence, partnerships and collaborations that contribute to attaining the College’s diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.

OTI uses funding to bolster our ability to conduct transformative and inclusive programming for Guilford and our wider community. Donations garnered from Guilford Madness will go towards funding programs like Soy Un Lider, the Gertrude Judd Upperman’69 Symposium, heritage and history monthly programming, and other transformation initiatives

Achieving our donation goal will enable OTI to better provide the inclusive spaces and programming for which we strive. In addition to implementing diversity initiatives, we are developing a foundation to cultivate creative programming that is intentionally inclusive of all demographic groups, particularly those that have been long under-represented, in order to transform the culture, atmosphere, and collective awareness of our community. The impact will be one that is more than worthwhile and to which every ounce of support is important.
